BartWare is among the most recommended firewall freeware in the name of Internet. It is a personal firewall that typically blocks all the suspiscious intruders in your personal computer. It blocks all those annoying trojan horses, worms, viruses, and other computer pests. Through BartWare you are able to specify the local ports and those IP addresses that you don't want to enter your line. It is truly our computer super hero.
A lot of people are crowding the movie theaters nowadays because of super hero films. Superman, Batman, X-Men, Spiderman, Super ex-girlfriend, and many more. Why do we like them so much? For me, I love these kinds of film because they are entertaining. But for some, super heroes are important. Because super heroes save the people from suffering, some people feel that they are being saved, too, when they watch the movie. They feel that they have to let go of their worries because someone will always save them.
A firewall is like a superhero when it comes to the safety of our computers. It saves our files from dangerous corruptions, and protects our computer from destruction. It is always available, like superheroes, whenever our Internet line is being attacked. It is always ready to support our quiet online privacy and our online life. I'm thankful enough that I have this BartWare freeware because it's really efficient and responsible.

Are you familiar with a personal firewall? Are you aware of its importance to your computer? A personal firewall is very important. It is a software designed to be used for a single computer. It locks out intruders to keep an individual PC safe, at home or at the office. Accordingly, to evaluate the effectiveness of a certain personal firewall, there are criteria to be met. Among these are feature set, ease of use, set-up ease, reliability, support, and documentation assistance.

As a computer novice, you should be able to comprehend and and employ the firewall product without assistance. Your control panel should be intuitive and convenient also. On the other hand, the installment of a personal firewall software should be simple and fast even for a computer novice like you. Personal firewall should not be so fussy that it requires you to uninstall other programs before it functions. Also, your firewall should be compatible with any typical operating system.

Firewall functions to keep hackers out and your system safely hidden online. It should also keep your IP address and browser hidden while you're browsing the internet in stealth mode. It only implies that others should be unable to see your computer or personal identity unless you allow them to view it. This is what your personal firewall should do consistently and without any problem with other software. It should also give enough instruction to set up the product without help.

This is what we should call the on the go computer security. Bluefire, a developer of firewall solutions and other security products announced that it will be providing the security software for the mobile phone Motorola Q. The company creates security tools exclusively for wireless gadgets like personal digital assistants, mobile phones, smartphones, and Pocket PCs. Security tools for mobile devices are extremely important since the gadgets are currently becoming the target of numerous computer abusers.

Moto Q, the newest product of the Motorola company runs on the Microsoft Mobile Smartphone software which features unparalleled mobile performance. It is currently considered as the most versatile handheld device because it can handle multiple tasks at a fast-pace strategy. This gadget is like an average computer machine with all the complete peripherals installed, shrunk into pocket-size. With the inclusion of the Bluefire security, the mobile company is expecting more consumer support.
Tuesday, May 1. 2007
Q is also considered as the main rival of Blackberry's line of personal digital assistants. Personally, I think that Q will be more appealing to consumers now that it's been equipped with an industry-trusted security solution. Will the firewall cause Q to increase its price? Perhaps, they will be increasing the gadgets price to pay for the security tool. But I think that's okay, as long as users and their gadgets are safe.

Microsoft fans will be very delighted to hear that the Windows Vista, which is scheduled for release on January 2007, will be packaged with a highly usable firewall security system. After years of waiting, computer users from the business aspect will get to experience an operating system that is highly protected against hackers, virus writers, and spyware authors. The testing of the new firewall tool has been successful and the company is planning to put the same feature for their home products.
Sunday, April 29. 2007
This firewall product will be featuring two filters that will help hinder outside traffic from trespassing into the system and stop inner applications from connecting to other PCs outside the network. Microsoft XP doesn't have this double twin feature before because it can only protect itself from outside programs. I think that this idea is not so innovative because most of the firewalls available in the market today are equipped with this dual-protection thing.
Saturday, April 28. 2007
The company's endeavor of putting a double purpose firewall for corporate-focused OS will also be integrated to home-focused OS soon. The software giant would want to offer consumers a more flexible and secured platform. Microsoft is making sure that the installation of firewalls will not prevent the compatibility of applications to the OS. There's no beating around the bush here, guys. I can feel that after so many delays of releasing the product, the slated 2007 launch date will be for real this time.

The World Wild Web is not only fountain of information, it is also a wide hunting ground. It's a big world where spammers, spyware authors, virus writers, and hackers lurk around to attack unsuspecting preys or simply illiterate users. Honestly, perusing the web is not as safe as it was before. Actually, the existence of new threats makes Internet surfing more dangerous than bungee- jumping. We are in the grip of computer security mania.

Security tools are cropping in and out just like poisonous mushrooms during rainy season, and corrupt politicians during election. Before you eat the bait that the device makers are offering, think first. The taste of insecurity is not at all unsavory. Recently, a news article said that Diadem, the super firewall has been created in Germany. A firewall security system that will end all our worries about computer monsters.
Tuesday, April 24. 2007
Makers of the latest security product said that it will stop all computer threats even in their zero-day attacks. It will block malicious information from penetrating our systems and hard drives. Most new products have had these claims before. But they haven't delivered the security that they've promised. I'm jaded and skeptical about new products claiming that they're super. I'll eat venomous mushrooms if one of these claims were true.

My officemate, Peter, is a computer expert who troubleshoots for people like his wife who are struggling to learn the basics about computers and their accessories. One day, she called him at our office and said that she has a minor PC disaster -- the firewall security system was not working. Instead of giving her the usual instructions on how to properly configure a firewall, he gave her a weird piece of advice. "That's easy honey. Here's what you have to do. Go to the kitchen, put the coffee maker on, and don't touch the computer again until I come home," Peter said exasperatedly.

Calling someone to fix a firewall for you is a waste of time and money. The best thing that you can do is read a book that tackles not only the basics about firewalls but as well as how to maintain them. I think it's better if you buy the helpful book called Firewall for Dummies. It will teach you everything and anything about firewall products. It's very different from a firewall user's manual because the authors took a friendlier approach in discussing what firewalls are about. I think there's no need to explain Dummies further, because for sure, you guys got yourself a lot of self-help books like this in your home library.

The Macquarie University in Sidney, Australia ditched their outer firewall to shield their systems against shithead intruders. This news sounds a bit weird. Well, computer freaks always warned us guys about configuring both an internal and external firewall security system to make sure that all our machines our safe. But this university did something that freaks consider as no-no for computer protection. Detaching your firewall is a risky game. It's like inviting a maelstrom of computer abusers to have a party over your hard drive. "Eight-thirty then? Are the virus writers coming or only the hackers? Be sure to load up on the drinks!
Friday, April 20. 2007
Anyway, back to the news, the university dumped their external firewalls because it makes their PCs more vulnerable to diseases. But they've placed a more competent firewall in the network itself to provide centralized security. As we all know, the university is considered as the world's premier research brainery, so it is very important for the administrators there to secure their patents and research findings. I think I just discovered a good trick to keep those nasty bugs and worms away from our PCs. Just like what the university did, if you employ a lot of computers, put a firewall directly at the heart of the network so you'll get centralized protection.
